Capricorn
Jay Chou is always busy. He is usually busy composing (for friends), performing in concerts, playing basketball, (directing a movie) dodging paparazzi, or playing magician.
This time of the year, he is busy promoting his new album 魔杰座, which incorporates part of his name as the album title while retaining the homophonous sound of Capricorn — his astrological sign.
The album is expected to be released on October 9th, under the dual theme of magician and joker (Heath Ledger’s portrayal of the Joker springs to mind.) The idea came from Jay Chou’s own magic trick performance on his friend, apprentice, and fellow Nan Quan Mama singer Devon Song’s wedding. (detail)
Although Jay Chou has written songs on both the side of the magician and the joker to create an almost antagonistic dynamic between the two roles, his main goal is to promote the notion of appreciation through music, as expressed in the song 稻 香, which will be released on the 22nd.
(Although the full version will be released in two days, you can hear the not-so-smooth version here.)

Anyway, here are some videos of Jay Chou playing magic tricks (for those of you who can understand Chinese). Quiet funny. [1 2 3 4 5]
