TVXQ summarized :D
TOHOSHINKI’S THIRD JAPANESE ALBUM T
I initally thought the guys would come back to Korea by New Year or something for a 4th album. (I really miss their korean songs.) However, they stayed in Japan and released a third studio album called T. Even though my wish didn’t come true, T definitely did not dissapoint me. The album was a big improvement from Five in The Black and packed with top tunes including both original and single songs. My favorite songs from this album are Purple Line, TRICK, Darkness Eyes, NO!, Forever Love, Love in the Ice, and Kiss Shita Mama, Sayonara. The three last ones are beautiful ballads while the rest have an intense feel. TRICK is unique with new, uncommon sounds originating from a combination of 5 different songs (who will later be released as 5 consecutive singles by the goup). As for Purple Line, the song was made by famous composer Yoo Young Jin who also composed Rising Sun for TVXQ. I like the fact Rising Sun’s composer made this song because, first, the song has a korean feel, and, second, Tohoshinki is probably trying to bring kpop vibe to the japanese industry. Overall, I am proud of Tohoshinki~ Another thing that made me happy: Changmin finally cut his hair. YES!!!
TVXQ AND KOREAN VARIETY SHOWS
Even though the Dong Bang boys didn’t come back to Korea, they returned to the country and stayed for at least one week. During their stay they filmed many variety shows including: Miraculous Victory & Defeat, 8 vs. 1, Line Up, and Happy Together. MV&D is hilarious and I highly recommend it. Changmin gets a lot of screentime which is A VERY RARE OCCASION. The boys also filmed an interview on OBS and performed on two music shows (Music Bank and Inkigayo) where they sang Purple Line (korean version) and Yeo Haeng Gi. I think they filmed a guerilla interview(?) as well, but I’m not sure (despite the fact that I saw it o_O).
CASSIOPEIA’S GUINNESS WORLD RECORD
This surpised me lots. Cassiopeia, TVXQ’s official korean fanclub, broke a Guinness World Record for being the world’s largest fanclub (of an artist) with around 800 000 OFFICIALLY registered members. One, I found out normal artists must not have lots of fans (I formerly thought artists like Beyonce or something would at least have 1m fans). Two, this must mean TVXQ has more than a million fans worldwide if we count the foreign and unofficial fans. YAY FOR THEIR POPULARITY! MAY THEY ONE DAY CONQUER THE WORLD! Now I get to see them (or their fanclub) in the Guinness Book of World Records. ^_^
Well, I’m done now. Only the personal post is left. There were more things I wanted to write about on TVXQ, but seeing as they weren’t very relevent, I decided to drop the ideas.
