This album, Debut Album [First Live Special Edition], is a special version of the debut album of Jam Hsiao Jing Teng which was released less than 2 months ago. This edition contains one extra CD and DVD of his live performance at a promotional event for his debut album at Taipei’s fishermen pier on July 6. Thus, it includes live-recorded collaboration of Jam Hsiao Jing Teng with Hong Kong’s Khalil Fong and Vivian Hsu. Honestly, I’m not a big fan of ’special edition’ of previously released albums as it’s obviously another gimmick by the companies to milk more money from the fans. However, the inclusion of the live performance of Jam Hsiao is certainly a much pleasant way instead of just the cover of the album. Hey, those materials can almost make up another album by Jam Hsiao himself, right?
