KPOP summarized :D

First up, KPOP! I’ll try to proceed in the chronological order things happened. (These are only events that interested me so sorry if you don’t see what you’re were looking for.)

ANYBAND
This year Samsung decided to count on other aritsts besides Hyori. Anyband is a promotional group the company assembled consisting of BoA, TVXQ’s XIAH Junsu, Tablo of Epik High, and Jin Bora who is a jazz artist/musician. The group sang 3 songs and released a single which, I think, was a hit. Make sure to watch the MV of TPL (Talk Play Love) and Promise You here.

EPIK HIGH
Thanks to their 4th album, EH’s popularity skyrocketed. Their performances at the year end awards are a MUST SEE. They performed a rock/traditional version of Fan with Honey Lee (who was Miss Korea) and a remix of Love Love Love with SNSD’s Taeyeon. Links to the perfs are here: Fan ft. Honey Lee & Love Love Love ft. Taeyeon. Epik did other perfs too, but these 2 are the ones I liked best. Their perfs put aside, it seems as though Tablo will leave the group in the future (I’m unsure about the reasons). Tablo recently did a collab with Penny (Eternal Morning) and released an instrumental hip hop album Soundtrack to A Lost Film. Check out the MV of White here. At least Epik High are planning to release a 5th album!

WONDER BANG
Combination of Wonder Girls and Big Bang. After their awesome Special Stage on Music Bank, the two groups reunited again at the year end awards to perform musicals, etc. The best one IMO was the musical drama that integrated songs which won Inkigayo. Watch the musical with subs here.
